PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. – Senior Amanjyot Singh is tied for 10th individually and Campbell sits 10th in the team standings after Sunday's first round of the men's Golfweek Program Challenge at True Blue Golf Club.
The 54-hole event matches men's and women's teams from 12 schools from around the country. The combined men's and women's scores from each program are added at the end of the event to determine the overall champion.
Singh shot a two-under-par 70 Sunday and is four strokes off the lead held by J.T. Poston of Western Carolina (66) in the 60-man field.
James Madison leads the 12-school men's field at 8-under 280, four strokes ahead of Northern Iowa (284). Campbell shot plus-nine 297 and is one stroke ahead of Stetson and three in front of Boston College heading into Monday's second round of the 54-hole event.
Campbell sophomore Mikko Lehtovuori is tied for 36th place at 3-over 75, while junior Grant Houser and sophomore Alvaro Veiga are tied for 43rd at plus-four 76. Sophomore Jeremy Milton is tied for 59th after an opening round 80.

In 2012 Campbell won the combined men's and women's Program Challenge with 1738 strokes, 24 fewer than Central Arkansas (1762), which won the 2012 men's tournament at True Blue Golf Club.
Campbell and East Carolina tied, rather improbably, for the 2011 Program Challenge crown, each school shooting a cumulative, 54-hole score of 1,716. Mitch Gray and Michelle Koh combined to win a male and female, alternate shot play-off on the first hole at Caledonia Golf & Fish Club.
