POWELL'S POINT, N.C. – Gaston Bertinotti is second in the individual standings and Campbell is 12th on the team leader board following Sunday's first round of the Old Dominion/OBX Collegiate at Kilmarlic Golf Club.

A sophomore from Cordoba, Argentina, Bertinotti is tied with Samuel Matthew of South Dakota at one-under-par 70, two strokes behind leader Ashton Newsom of host ODU.  Bertinotti made four birdies on the day, played the par-3 holes at 1-under, while shooting 2-under on the par-5s.

Maryland and Drake are tied for the lead in the 16-team event at 10-under-par 294 heading into Monday's second round.  Host Old Dominion is third (295).

Campbell shot 307 on Sunday, one stroke better than Nebraska-Omaha.

Bertinotti was the lone Camel in red number on Sunday.  Mikko Lehtovuori shot 77 and Carlos Leandro 79, while Jeremy Nevius and Craig Hornberger each shot 81.

The 54-hole event concludes on Tuesday at the par-71, 6535-yard Kilmarlic layout.
