ATLANTA, GA. – Lily Tang and Michelle Case both set school records Saturday to lead Campbell on the final day of the Georgia Tech Invitational.
Tang broke the 200 back record in the day's first event, posting a 2:03.04 in the preliminaries. The junior from Marietta, Ga. then lowered her own mark with a 2:02.98 in the finals, finishing 19th.
Case followed with another Campbell school record, tallying a 51.96 in the 100 freestyle. The freshman recorded a 52.38 in Saturday evening's finals, taking 26th overall.
Campbell finished 13th out of 17 teams in the meet with 120 points, just behind South Carolina's 151 and ahead of Auburn (93), Clemson (63), Utah (37) and Tulane (10).
Florida won the team title with 1,359 points. Arkansas (861.5), Florida State (686), Florida Gulf Coast (573.5) and Vanderbilt (449) rounded out the top-five.
Carly Bowles also notched a 2:24.43 in the 200 breaststroke, while Case added a 2:05.89 in the 200 butterfly in Saturday's competition.
The Camels will resume competition on January 3 at Florida Gulf Coast, taking on Liberty, Central Connecticut State and the host Eagles.
