BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Head coach Dawn Easley announced Monday nine new additions to Campbell Women's Lacrosse, each player representing the state of Maryland.
"I am thrilled with this incoming class for next year," Easley said. "They are a great fit to the Campbell Lacrosse family and community. I expect this class to be an immediate game changer for our program, as we will not lose anyone next year."
The incoming class will join this year's team of 17 players, with no seniors on the roster.
Amanda Chasin
Chasin has played both midfield and defense for Poolesville High School. From Barnesville, Md., she was named Maryland 3A/2A All-Division in 2013 and 2014 and was second team all-county in 2014. As a junior in 2014, she led the Falcons to a division championship. Chasin plays club lacrosse with Rebels 2015 Black.
Kylie Haarhoff
Haarhoff is a goalie at Kent Island High School in Stevensville, Md. She helped lead Kent Island to becoming the 2013 District 4 Champions as a sophomore. Haarhoff also plays with Maryland United Lacrosse Club and was the team most valuable player in 2012.
Katy Higinbothom
Higinbothom is an attacker at Bel Air High School located in Bel Air, Md. The incoming freshman also plays club ball for Looney's Lacrosse with fellow signee Melissa Placek.
Sarah Paul
Paul plays both midfield and defense at Saints Peter and Paul High School in Easton, Md. There, she was a second-team all-conference pick as a freshman and has been named first-team all-conference the past two years. Paul is also a member of Maryland United Lacrosse Club 2015 East.
Melissa Placek
Placek plays in the midfield at Perry Hall High School in Baltimore, Md. She was named All-Division in 2014 and was selected to the Maryland Brine National Lacrosse Team in 2013. Placek plays club for Looney's Lacrosse and has led her school and club teams in draw controls and has led Perry Hall in caused turnovers.
Annie Pazulski
Pazulski is an attacker at Archbishop Spalding High School in Severn, Md., and is a National School Girl Tournament team member. She plays club lacrosse for Maryland United Lacrosse Club where she has been captain for the past two years.
Rose Prizzi
Prizzi plays midfield at Our Lady Of Good Counsel High School in Olney, Md. She helped lead the Falcons to a WCAC Championship in 2013. Prizzi plays her club ball with Rebels Lacrosse and has been honored as a Brine All-American for 2013-14.
Samantha (Sami) Smit
Smit is an attacker at Glenelg High School in Glenelg, Md. While on the junior varsity team, she was a captain, leading scorer, and most valuable player. In 2013, she was honored as a Brine National High School All-American Player in Maryland. She also plays for Hero's Lacrosse Club 2015, which was the Upper Atlantic Lacrosse Tournament champion in 2011 and Brine All-American Tournament champion in 2013.
Kaitlyn Steinbauer
Steinbauer is a senior at Elizabeth Seton High School in Bladensburg, Md. The attacker is a captain and has been a WCAC honorable mention pick from 2010-13. She plays club with Maryland United Sports Club 2014 West, where she is also an attacker.
