Men's soccer earns 2013-14 NSCAA Team Academic Award

BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Campbell men's soccer has been awarded the 2013-14 Team Academic Award by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America as recently announced by the organization.

The Camels received the award for the second straight year and posted a 3.10 GPA among all members of the 2013-14 team. To qualify for the achievement, a team must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher for the academic year.

Scooter Oliver became Campbell's first-ever Big South Scholar-Athlete of the Year for men's soccer during the 2013-14 campaign and also earned a spot on the conference's All-Academic Team.

This year's award marks the sixth time that the Camels have earned the NSCAA honor, tied with Winthrop for the third-most among Big South teams. Only Radford and Coastal Carolina, both with eight, have earned more.

Campbell is one of 208 schools nationwide to have both its men's and women's programs recognized for the academic achievement.
