ORLANDO, FLA. – Kaylin Yost fired a two-under-par 70 and moved up to 13th place after Monday's second round of the UCF Challenge at Eagle Creek Golf Club.
Campbell (298-294—592) sits in 14th place in the 19-school field heading into Tuesday's final round that begins at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start. Live scoring is available at Golfstat.com.
Yost's second round included 6 birdies on the par-72, 6349-yard layout. The senior from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., stands at one-under-par 143 (73-72), six strokes behind individual leader Fanny Cnops (67-70—137) of host Central Florida. Yost leads the 104-golfer field in par-5 scoring (6-under).
Campbell junior Lisbeth Brooks is tied for 28th place at two-over 146 (72-74) after a second 18 that included three birdies and 10 pars. Through two rounds, Brooks tops the field in par-3 scoring (3-under).
Senior Ali Prazak shot a one-under-par 71 on Monday and moved up to a tie for 59th place at five-over 149 (78-71). The product of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands made 13 pars and three birdies to earn her second below-par round this season.
Babette Lemberger (75-80—155) is tied for 89th and Maria Jose Benavides (81-79--160) is 103rd.
No.-24 UCF (282-285—567) leads the tournament by two strokes over 33rd-ranked Miami (287-282—569) after 36 holes. Campbell is two strokes behind East Carolina (590) and one in front of No.-29 Tulane (593) – its final round playing partners – through two rounds.
