ORLANDO, FLA. – Kaylin Yost produced her sixth top-20 individual finish and Campbell tied for 11th in the team standings following Tuesday's final round of the UCF Challenge.
In a 19-school field that includes eight teams ranked among the country's top-50, Campbell (298-294-290) tied with East Carolina (301-289-292) at 18-over 882 on the par-72, 6349-yard Eagle Creek Golf Club layout.
Led by individual medalist Fanny Cnops, who finished at 8-under-par 208 (67-70-71), host and 24th-ranked Central Florida (282-285-290—857) claimed the team title by one stroke over No.-22 Iowa State (292-281-285—858).
A senior from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Yost tied for 14th place on the individual leader board at one-under 215 (73-70-72) after carding an even-par round Tuesday. She made two birdies and 14 pars, while playing both the front and back sides even.
Yost topped the 104-player field in par-5 scoring (7-under). Both of her birdies Tuesday and six of her 10 over the 54-hole tournament came on par-five layouts. In addition, Yost had an eagle-3 on the par-five 13th hole during Sunday's first round.
Fellow senior Ali Prazak matched her collegiate career low round Tuesday and finished in a tie for 33rd place (78-71-70—219) at 3-over par. The native of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands made 4 birdies and 12 pars Tuesday, played the final 36 holes at 3-under, and recorded her second and third sub-par rounds of the year.
Campbell junior Lisbeth Brooks finished in a tie for 38th place at four-over 220 (72-74-74). She tied with Gemma Dryburgh of Tulane for the best par-3 score (3-under) in the field and produced nine birdies plus 33 pars over the course of three days.
Senior Babette Lemberger (75-80-74—155) shot a season-low 74 Tuesday and finished 85th. Senior Maria Jose Benavides tied for 102nd (81-79-84—244).
Campbell returns to action Mar. 3-5 at the Hurricane Invitational hosted by the University of Miami at Deering Bay Yacht & Golf Club in Coral Gables, Fla.
