BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Corinne Ozanne homered twice for Syracuse, to lead the Orange to a 7-6 victory over Campbell Wednesday at Amanda Littlejohn Stadium.

Sydney O'Hara pitched four scoreless innings, scattering two hits, one walk and striking out six.  The win moves O'Hara to 5-5 on the year and the Orange to 7-13 on the season.

The loss was charged to relief pitcher Julia Callicutt.  She pitched 2.2 innings, allowing one run (one earned) on three hits, while walking one and striking out four. The loss for Callicutt moves her record to 1-2 on the season, and drops the Camels to 14-13 overall mark.

CU had three different players with two or more hits.  Ericka Nesbitt went two-for-four with a run scored. Kerstine Womack went two-for-four, scoring a run.  Brittany Bruce was two-for-three with a run plated. Courtney Klingler went one-for-three with a solo home run which was her sixth on the year.

The Orange were led by Corinne Ozanne, who was three-for-four with two home runs and three runs batted in. Danielle Chitkowski was one-for-three, her lone hit being a solo home run.

Syracuse went in order in the visiting half of the first.  Klingler stepped to the plate with two outs in the first and drove the second pitch she saw over the left field fence to give CU a 1-0 lead going to the top of the second.

The Camels entered the bottom of the third with a 1-0 lead.  Nesbitt and Womack each singled to place runners at first and second with no outs.  Klingler flew out to deep right field advancing Nesbitt to third and Womack to second.  Milly Martinet doubled to right center plating Nesbitt and Womack.  Bailey Bjorson singled scoring pinch-runner Amanda Daw and Bruce, who reached via a single. CU led 6-0 going to the top of the fourth.

Syracuse would match Campbell's five running with a five run inning of its own in the top of the fourth. Jasmine Watson singled to lead off the inning and was pinch ran for by Alexis Partyka.  Ozanne homered to left field on a 1-0 count, scoring Partyka.  The next batter Danielle Chitkowski drove the second pitch of her at bat over the left field fence.  Bases were loaded via a double and two walks, before Nicole Lundstrom singled up the middle to plate two more runs.  The Camels led 6-5.

In the top of the fifth Syracuse's Corinne Ozanne homered for the second time in as many innings to even the game at six.

Syracuse's Alyssa Dewes homered in the top of the sixth to push the Orange to a 7-6 lead.

Syracuse held Campbell scoreless in the sixth and seventh inning to preserve the 7-6 victory.
