DAYTONA BEACH, FLA. – Bethune-Cookman won the doubles point then claimed five singles matches in a 5-2 victory Tuesday over visiting Campbell.
Karolina Chernaya improved to 8-2 at number-one singles for Campbell (5-5) with a 3-set victory. Amelie Reichart won in straight-sets at the fifth singles position.
Natasha Afridi and Tamara Stanic won the second doubles match. Stanic suffered her first singles loss of the year at number-four in a third set super tiebreaker.
Bethune-Cookman (5-7) scored three straight-sets wins in singles.
Campbell returns to action Wednesday against Savannah State at 9:00 a.m. in Daytona Beach.
