CORAL GABLES, FLA. – Freshman Nadine White shot a one-under-par 70 in her second collegiate round and Campbell is tied for fourth Tuesday after 36 holes of the Hurricane Invitational.
Senior Kaylin Yost is tied for eighth place (70-73—143), five strokes behind individual leader Sasikam On-lam of Iowa State (69-69—138). Avery George of Middle Tennessee (79-70—139) is second, while first round leader Daniela Darquea of Miami is third (68-72—140).
Yost leads the tournament in scoring on par-four holes (-1) and her 25 pars through 36 holes is tied for seventh-best in the event.
A native of Brisbane, Australia, White made six birdies Tuesday on the par-71, 6092-yard Biltmore Golf Course and moved into a tie for 21st place (76-70—146). She is tied for third in the 95-golfer field in par-three scoring (-1).
Campbell junior Lisbeth Brooks eagled the par-five 18th-hole Tuesday and is tied for 26th place (71-76—147) with CU sophomore Tahnia Ravnjak (73-74—147), who is competing as an individual. Brooks is tied for fourth in par-five scoring (-3) heading into Wednesday's final round.
Freshman Louise Latorre played the back nine at one-under-par and is tied for 55th (76-77—153). Senior Ali Prazak is tied for 72nd (72-84—156).
No.-25 Iowa State (285-286—571) leads the 18-team event by three strokes over 18th-ranked Northwestern (290-284—574). Host and 30th-ranked Miami is third (284-295—579) followed by Campbell (289-296—585) and Mercer (291-294—585). Kennesaw State is sixth (586) and East Carolina seventh (588) with 18 holes remaining.
