BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell has earned the No. 6 seed in the Big South Women's Lacrosse Championship and will take on No. 3 Longwood at 4 p.m. Wednesday in Farmville, Va., in the quarterfinal round.
Campbell finished the season with a 2-5 mark in the league, while Longwood rounded out the slate at 5-2.
The top four seeds will host quarterfinal matches Wednesday, with the winners advancing to the site of the No. 1 seed next weekend.
High Point secured the No. 1 seed and will serve as host of the Semifinals and Finals on May 2 and 4 at Vert Stadium. The Women's Lacrosse Championship is presented by Musco Sports Lighting and features all eight teams for the first time.
Winthrop, Coastal Carolina, Campbell and Presbyterian are making their first appearance in the Conference's postseason Championship.
The quarterfinals and semifinals will be broadcast live on the Big South Network, while Sunday's Championship contest will be carried live on ESPN3 at 2:00pm. The Big South champion receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Women's Lacrosse Championship.
