TULSA, OKLA. – Lisbeth Brooks shot a one-over-par 71 and Campbell University sits in 24th place in the team standings after Wednesday's second round of the NCAA women's golf championship at Tulsa Country Club.
A junior from Waunakee, Wis., Brooks made five birdies on the day on the par-70, 6194-yard layout.
Oklahoma (288-287—575) holds a three-stroke lead over No.-3 Duke (293-285—578) halfway through the 72-hole event. Campbell (305-303—608) trails Kansas (313-293—606) by two strokes.
Brooks (78-71—149) is tied for 50th place at 9-over par. Kaylin Yost (69-82—151) is tied for 67th. Louise Latorre (78-79—157) is tied for 108th, while Tahnia Ravnjak (83-75—158) and Nadine White (80-78—158) share the 112th spot.
Only four players in the 126-golfer field are under par through 36 holes. Alexandra Kaui of Oklahoma (68-67—135) owns a 3-shot lead over Stanford's Lauren Kim (67-71—138) and Allyssa Ferrell of Michigan State (69-69—138).
The Camels will start Thursday's third round from the 10th tee at 7:30 p.m. (CDT) paired with Iowa State and Kansas.
