Softball announces eight-game fall slate

BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Head Coach Todd Bradley has announced Campbell softball's fall schedule, an eight-game gauntlet that includes a doubleheader with Pitt Community College at Amanda Littlejohn Stadium on Oct. 8.

The Camels will open their fall slate at the Ray Chandler Memorial Tournament in Raleigh, N.C., with doubleheaders on Sept. 27 and 28. On Saturday, Campbell will face UNCG at Noon before a showdown with UNC Wilmington at 4 p.m., and on Sunday the squad will take on NC Central at Noon before a date with Winston-Salem State at 4 p.m. All games are set to be played at the Walnut Creek Softball Complex.

On Wednesday, Oct. 8, Campbell will welcome Pitt Community College for a doubleheader. The first game will begin at 4 p.m. with the second to follow after its conclusion.

Finally, the Camels will round out their fall with a trip to NC State on Sunday, Oct. 19, for another doubleheader. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m., and the second game will begin shortly after the first ends.

The softball program is coming off another successful campaign in 2014. Campbell put together a 31-27 record and advanced to the semifinals of the Big South Conference Tournament in Conway, S.C. Bradley will be in his first season as the team's head coach after serving as an assistant for the last two years. He will be joined on the staff by Brittany Lee and JuliAnne Towers for the 2015 season.
