BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell women's soccer will round out non-conference play Sunday as it travels to Greenville to take on East Carolina University at 2 p.m. The Camels (2-3-1) clinched their first road win of the season Wednesday with a 3-0 victory coming against South Carolina State.

Redshirt junior defender Bailee Johnston scored the first of her collegiate career against the Bulldogs. Sophomore defender Allie Hopkins registered her first collegiate point, assisting on the Camels second goal of the game, scored by sophomore midfielder Payton Ormsby; she leads the team in goals (2) and points (5).

Senior, and team captain, Melissa Messier tallied her first goal of the season versus SCSU.

Junior goalkeeper Sammy Lawson will get her second consecutive start for the Camels. The Richboro, Pa. native has tallied 17 saves this season while posting a 1.00 goals-against average and a .850 save percentage.

In its last match, ECU (5-2-1) played to a double overtime draw with UNC Wilmington Friday, 0-0. The Pirates have outscored their opponents 12-5, with a 10-5 advantage in the second half of play.

The team's only two losses of the season have come against No. 3 Virginia Tech (3-0) and No. 14 South Carolina (2-0). East Carolina has not allowed a goal in any of its other six games played this season.

Junior forward Kendall Frey leads the Pirates with six points, (2g, 2a), starting all eight games for ECU this season . Senior midfielders Lana Spitler and Lexi Herring have also tallied two goals apiece for the Pirates.

The Camels will travel to UNC Asheville Wednesday to open Big South Conference play; kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m.
