BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell volleyball travels to Charleston, S.C. on Tuesday, Oct. 13, for a 6 p.m. match against Charleston Southern. The game was originally scheduled for Oct. 2 but was postponed due to the inclement weather.
Campbell (5-12, 0-4 BSC)
- The Camels moved to 0-4 in the Big South after falling in two competitive matches against Liberty (3-2) and Radford (3-1). Campbell though winless in the conference have kept all matches interesting and are showing improvement as a team
- Katelyn Layden knocked down 24 kills over the weekend and Jenny Tait added 22 of her own for the Camels who over two matches totaled 108 kills
- The Campbell freshmen Rachel Harty is one of two players who have played in every match (58) for the Camels. Mary Crema is the other
- Harty leads the Camels with 130 kills including 18 this weekend
- Madison Linxwiler has appeared in 55 sets for the Camels and has totaled 77 kills, 13 from the past weekend
- Summer Schuitema's 19 assists against Radford helped her pass the 1,000 career assists mark. She has moved up to ninth in the Campbell Individual Career Records passing Alissa Brackeen (836, '02-'05). Schuitema has amassed 1,014 career assists to date since she joined the team in 2014 as a freshman

- Charleston Southern is on a one game winning streak coming into Tuesday's game after defeating South Carolina State 3-1 Saturday, Oct. 10
- CSU is second in the conference in digs per set with 16.76
- Katerina Houston ranks eighth in kills in the Big South with 2.79 per set on 162 kills over 58 sets
- Cassidy Greer is fifth in the BSC in assists per set with 6.50 on 481 assists
- Ashley Higginbothem is third in the conference in digs per set with 4.88 on 371 digs

- Tuesday's game will be the 31st encounter between the Buccaneers of Charleston Southern and the Campbell Fighting Camels
- Campbell comes into the game with a four-game win streak against CSU
- The series between the Buccaneers and Camels dates back to the early years of the CU volleyball program and when Charleston Southern was called Baptist
- CSU won the first 13 matches of the series ('86-'94) since then the Camels have won 12 of the last 17 match-ups
- During the last encounter between the two teams, the Camels toppled the Bucs in four sets on Nov. 15, 2014
