BUIES CREEK, N.C. – With three individuals among the top five golfers, Campbell won team honors Tuesday at the Fighting Camel Fall Classic.  The win was Campbell's second in three starts this year and the 78th women's tournament crown in the 25-year coaching career of John Crooks.

Junior Nadine White (74-72-72—218) was runner-up for the second-straight year at the event, sophomore Annelie Sjoholm (79-74-71—224) finished third and senior Tahnia Ravnjak (79-75-72—226) tied for fifth in the 84-golfer field. Campbell (306-301-295—902) won team honors by 16 strokes over runner-up Old Dominion (306-318—295).

The Camels and ODU were tied atop the 15-school leader board following Sunday's opening round before the Camels opened a 16-stroke edge Monday.  Northern Arizona (315-310-302—927) finished third.

A native of Brisbane, Australia, White made the turn Tuesday at one-under-par, but slipped to two-over after a double-bogey on 15.  However, she birdied both the par-three 17th and par-four 18th holes to finish the 54-hole even at two-over, three strokes behind medalist Mary Janiga of Mercer (72-73-70).

Janiga made 15 birdies over the three-day event and became only the second player to finish in red numbers in the Fighting Camel Fall Classic, which has been held at Keith Hills 21 times.

White made 35 pars and nine birdies over the three-day event, while playing the par-five holes at 4-under (third-best in the field) and the par-four layouts at 4-over (2nd).  She claimed her second top-five individual finish of the season to go along with her individual title at last month's Golfweek Program Challenge.

Sjoholm started her day with pars on the par-four first and par-five second holes on the Keith Hills Orange layout.  She then aced the par-three, 148-yard third hole with a seven iron.  After making the turn at even-par, she fell to one-over with a bogey on 15.  However, two-straight birdies followed and the sophomore from Vasteras, Sweden produced her second-straight top-five individual finish of the season.

Ravnjak improved each day on her home course and registered her third-straight top-10 finish in the event following a tie for eighth in 2013 and a fifth-place effort last year.  The senior from Cordeaux Heights, Australia made 10 birdies, tops on the team and second in the field, and played the par-five holes at 3-under (T5th).  This week's performance marked Ravnjak's third-consecutive top-10 finish to start the 2015-16 campaign.

Junior Louise Latorre (74-80-80—234) tied for 20th to finish among the top-20 for the third-straight event.  Playing as an individual, sophomore Ayelen Irizar produced a collegiate career-best 13th-place finish (75-77-79—231).  Mary-Katelyn Holanek also tied for 20th while playing as an individual (78-76-80—234).  Freshman Anna Svanka tied for 62nd (79-80-88—247).

Campbell led the field with 35 birdies while also leading in par-five (-5) and par-four scoring.  CU added 147 pars, third-best in the event.

Campbell has won its home event 17 times, including the last eight occasions it has been held. CU's win streak also reached 15-straight on the Keith Hills Orange & Black layout.
