Camels second after 36 holes of Palmetto Collegiate

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. – Nadine White is second on the individual leader board and Campbell sits in second place in the team standings following Monday's second round of the Palmetto Intercollegiate.

Furman (288-289—577) is in the lead at one-over-par, five strokes ahead of the Camels (286-296—582). Illinois (290-300—590) and Chattanooga (295-295—590) are tied for third in the 20-team field, which includes 14 schools ranked among the nation's top 100 according to Golfstat.

Haylee Harford of Furman leads the 102-golfer field at five-under 139 (71-68).  White, the first round leader, is second at two-under 142 (67-75), one stroke ahead of three players tied for third.

Campbell sophomore Ayelen Irizar matched her collegiate career low with an even-par 72 and moved into a tie for 13th place at three-over 147 (75-72).  Tahnia Ravnjak is also tied for 13th (71-76—147), while Annelie Sjoholm is tied for 21st (73-75—148).  Louise Latorre is tied for 27th (75-74—149). 

Irizar's round included a pair of birdies and 14 pars.  She is tied for third in the field in par-four scoring (E) and is tied for seventh with six birdies through 36 holes.

White is tied for third in birdies (7) and par-five scoring (-3), while playing the par-four and par-three layouts even.  Sjoholm is tied for sixth with 27 pars. Latorre is two-under on the par-five holes.

No.-48 Campbell will be paired with 40th-ranked Furman and Illinois for Tuesday's final round, which is set for an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. Live scoring is available at Golfstat.com.
