KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. – With three golfers among the top 20 individuals, Campbell finished third out of 20 teams following Tuesday's final round of the Palmetto Intercollegiate.

No.-40 Furman (288-289-298—875) won the team title by seven strokes over runner-up Chattanooga (295-295-292—882). Campbell finished third (286-296-302—884) in a field that included 14 schools ranked among the nation's top 100 according to Golfstat.  The Camels placed higher than schools from the Big 10 (Illinois, Maryland), ACC (No.-23 Louisville, Virginia Tech) and Big 12 (Kansas) to record their fourth top-five finish in four events this fall.

Campbell's Nadine White tied for 11th place (67-75-77—219) on the par-72, 5972-yard Turtle Point Golf Club layout.  Annelie Sjoholm tied for 16th (73-75-73—221) and Tahnia Ravnjak finished 19th (71-76-75—222).

Yupaporn Kawinpakorn of Kansas was the lone player to finish in red numbers (70-73-70—213) in the 102-golfer field.  Laura Fuenfstueck of host College of Charleston was second (71-73-72—216).

White finished the event with eight birdies and played the par-five holes at 3-under (tied for third).  Sjoholm had 42 pars, second-most in the tournament, including 15 in her one-over-par final round, the low of the day for CU players.  Ravnjak played the par-four holes at two-over, tied for 8th in the field.

Ayelen Irizar finished in a tie for 30th (75-72-78—225) and was among the top 14 players in par-four scoring (+3).  Louise Latorre played the final nine holes Tuesday at one-under and tied for 35th (75-74-77—226).  She made seven birdies for the event and was two-under on the par-five layouts.

The Camels return to action Feb. 7-9 in the UCF Challenge at Eagle Creek in Orlando.
