BUIES CREEK, N.C. --- Campbell women's basketball coach Wanda Watkins has announced the signing of three student-athletes in the recent early signing period.

Hayley Barber of Greensboro, North Carolina, Taya Bolden of Highland Springs, Virginia and Breanna Foster of Asheboro, North Carolina all signed national letters of intent to join the Lady Camels in the fall of 2016.

"These young ladies will round out a freshman class that we believe is loaded with competitive spirit, basketball IQ and heart," said Watkins. "All three play in competitive programs that strive to prepare and place young women at the next level. They are all stellar students in the classroom and will be wonderful representatives of our program and university. We anxiously await their arrival to the Creek and welcome each of them and their families to our Campbell University family!"

Barber is a product of Northwest Guilford High School for head coach Darlene Joyner. She has averaged 9.6 points (566 total points), 3.9 assists and 3.6 steals per game while shooting 41 percent from the field over the past two seasons.

Barber is a two-time Piedmont Triad 4-A all-conference selection. Last season, she was named to the NCBCA All-District 7 team and the NCHSAA Class 4-A West All-Region Tournament team.

Barber was also selected as the Greensboro News and Record All-Area Player of the year, the HAECO Invitational MVP, the My Guilford Sports All-Guilford MVP and the team MVP. In the classroom, Barber is a member of the National Honor Society and the German National Honor Society.

"Hayley is a hard-working, hearty and dedicated point guard with great floor awareness," said Watkins. "She is a true floor general and makes everyone around her better. Hayley has great court vision and playmaking tools, which is a coach's delight in every way."

Bolden will be coming to Campbell after finishing her prep career at Highland Springs High School under the direction of head coach Harris Franklin. She has helped the Highlanders to a 55-4 record over the past two seasons.

Bolden averaged 9.0 points per game last season and was the team's leading rebounder with 14.0 per game. As a sophomore she was named the team's most improved player and she has been named to the honor roll for the past four years.

"Taya is a mid-size forward that possesses a warrior-type work ethic. She is an energizer whose heart motivates everyone around her. She is strong physically and her innate ability to rebound is hard to teach. Taya is gutsy and makes her presence known on the court."

Foster is a three-year letter-winner at Asheboro High School for head coach Terry Allmon. She has a career average of 14.2 points per game with 961 total points, which includes 119 three pointers. Foster is averaging 2.2 rebounds and 2.9 steals per game while shooting 74 percent from the free throw line.

Foster is a three-time all-county and all-conference selection and has been named to the Courier Tribune Christmas Invitational all-tournament team in the past three years. She was named the team MVP following the past two campaigns and was named the best offensive player as a freshman. In the classroom, Foster is a member of the Beta Club and the Honors Society.

"Breanna is a fundamentally sound player that does all the little things well, and that quickly catches a coach's eye," Watkins stated. "She is an aggressive guard that has relentless hustle while possessing good size on the perimeter and the ability to knock in the three-ball. She is a go getter and gives 100 percent all the time!"

The 2015-16 Lady Camels will be back in action on Monday night at N.C. Central.
