BUIES CREEK, N.C. --- Isaiah Page and Reafe Anderson registered points in their final regular season home match and Campbell earned a 2-1 victory over Liberty on Wednesday night. Josh Signey scored the game-winner for the Camels (8-8-0, 4-4-0 Big South Conference) in the 53rd minute.

"It was a huge win, because we are fighting hard to earn a home game in the Big South tournament, said head coach Dustin Fonder. "Without these three points it wouldn't be possible, so our guys were fighting hard for it all 90 minutes."

Page opened the scoring with his third goal of the season in the 32nd minute. Page collected a cross in the box from Anderson and buried it in the back of the net. Anderson was credited with his second assist of the season.

"Reafe had just came on as a sub and gave us an instant lift," said Fonder. "He whipped in a nice cross and it found Page who put it home. It's special for those two guys being from the same hometown and producing on senior night."

After the Camels took a 1-0 lead into halftime, they were awarded a free kick from a foul by Liberty (6-10-1, 2-6-1) 30 yards out from the goal. Signey stepped up and fired a low kick that bounced past Flames' goalkeeper Jeremy Lee to give CU a 2-0 advantage.

"Josh strikes a good ball, so we are used to seeing that," Fonder stated. "It was a special goal, and it couldn't have come at a better time because we needed both goals down the stretch."

Liberty made it interesting on a goal from Blessing Tahuona in the 73rd minute that cut the deficit to one. Tahuona created space for himself deep into Camel territory and scored from a tough angle along the end line.

A frantic pace ensued following the Flames' goal as they desperately searched for the equalizer. LU fired a pair of shots off just two minutes after the score, but one was blocked by the Camel defense and one went just wide of the frame.

Seth Jones had a chance to put the Camels back up by two, but his shot in the 80th minute skirted across the face of the goal out of bounds. Liberty had one last chance in the final minute of play with a corner kick. Tahuona got a head to the ball but Campbell goalkeeper Jeff Kennedy made the save to preserve the victory.

Kennedy made a pair of saves in his second victory of the season in goal, while Lee also made two saves in the loss. Bradley Farias led CU with four shots while Jones registered three. The Camels' back line limited the Flames to just three shots on goal and none came in the first half.

Campbell will wrap-up the regular season on Saturday at UNC Asheville. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
