CU struggled out of the gate in the second half as WCU scored the first five points of the third period and took a 42-35 lead with 6:47 remaining in the quarter. Price hit CU's first field goal of the frame with almost four minutes in and hit two more to bring the Lady Camels back within one at 42-41 with four minutes left in the period.

Each team traded baskets and the score stood tied at 50-50 before Price hit a free throw with two seconds to play in the frame to give CU a 51-50 lead heading to the fourth.
