CARY, N.C. – Campbell University co-hosts the 34th annual NCAA Women's College Cup this weekend at WakeMed Soccer Park along with the Town of Cary, Capital Area Soccer League and the Greater Raleigh Sports Alliance.
As the host institution for the event, which is expected to draw near capacity crowds to the 10,000-seat WakeMed Soccer Park, Campbell works with the local organizing committee to provide support in event management, ticketing, athletic training, media services as well as marketing and promotions. Campbell also served as host institution for the 2013 Women's College Cup and 2014 Men's College Cup.
Three of the top eight seeds in the tournament advanced to the College Cup semifinals including second-ranked Florida State (18-2-4), which takes on No. 20 Duke (13-5-5) Friday at 7:30 p.m. No. 6 Penn State (20-3-2) meets No. 9 Rutgers (19-3-3) Friday at 5:00 p.m.
Sunday's championship is set for 12:00 p.m. All three matches will be televised live on ESPNU.
Tickets remain for the College Cup and are available at WakeMed Soccer Park. Single session prices are $30 for Friday's semifinals and $20 for Sunday's final.
