GREENVILLE, N.C. - Campbell women's tennis dropped its rescheduled match with East Carolina thursday 4-0 at the ECU Indoor Tennis Facility.
The Camels' (3-3) doubles duo of freshman Georgina Segarra and junior Ana Maria Ortiz defeated the Pirates' (5-1) Maria Gomez and Neena Wanko, 6-3, earning Campbell its only match win of the day.
Senior Tamara Stanic nearly pulled out a victory for the Camels but fell short in the third set to Nicole LaDuca 6-4, 2-6, 7-6. Freshman Irina Karangozishvili also pushed her opponent, Maria Gomez, to a third set but dropped the match 3-6, 6-4, 6-3.
Campbell women's tennis will return to action Saturday as it hosts Davidson at 1 p.m.
