BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Head coach Stuart Horne has announced the 2015 signing class for Campbell women's soccer. The class consists of nine players hailing from Florida, Maryland, New York, North Carolina, Ohio and Virginia.
Kylee Arno, an East Greenbush, N.Y., native attended Columbia high school. Arno was named most valuable player for the Blue Devils her freshman, junior and senior years; she tallied 34 goals in her freshman campaign.
The forward/midfielder was awarded letters her last four years while at Columbia, and she helped the team clinch the South Division Conference Championship in 2014. Arno also played varsity basketball and track and field for the Blue Devils. In addition to her on-the-field success, she was named to the high honor roll all four years of high school. Arno is also a member of the Albany Alleycats soccer club.
The lone Ohio native of the 2015 signing class, Anna Brantley, played defender and midfielder for Strongsville high school. She lettered in her sophomore, junior and senior seasons, and helped the Mustangs win a state title her freshman year; the team also won a regional title in 2012 and back-to-back district titles in 2013 and 2014.
Brantley switched from defense to midfielder last season for Strongsville and was named to the all-conference squad and garnered all-greater Cleveland honors; she was named an all-greater Cleveland honorable mention in her junior season. Brantley also currently plays for the Cleveland FC club squad.
Amanda Crecelius, an outside back for Mechanicsburg MASH high school was named to the mid-Penn first team, and was a team captain, in her junior and senior seasons.
Crecelius tallied one goal, an assist and three shots on goal for the Mustangs en route to helping the team clinch a division championship in 2012; she also aided the team in reaching the district and state semifinals.
The Mechanicsburg, Pa., native earned a letter in 2012 for the Wildcats and was named to the honor roll each of her four years. Crecelius also played for the FC Revolution club team.
Alexis Hartert joins the Camels as the third member of the Hartert family to wear the orange and black for Campbell. Her sister Marissa is a rising senior, and the oldest of the three, Ashley, will graduate in the spring.
The Marvin Ridge high school product is a two-time letter winner for the Mavericks. She was named the junior varsity's most valuable player in 2012 an all-conference and all-regional selection in her senior campaign.
Hartert, a defender, also earned academic letters her freshman, sophomore and junior years; she is member of Lake Norman Soccer Club.
Ashley Loeza, a Pembroke Pines, Fla., native plays for American Heritage high school; she also plays for the Sunrise Soccer club team.
Loeza earned eight letters for the Patriots while participating in soccer and lacrosse; she also aided the women's soccer team in winning back-to-back state championships for American Heritage.
Abby Sanders, a Raleigh, N.C., native plays for Holly Springs high school. She is a four-year letter winner as a midfielder for the Golden Hawks. Sanders is also a four-year starter and was named team captain her senior season; Sanders is also a four-year honor roll student and was named to the 2014-15 National Honor Society.
As a Golden Hawk, Sanders has tallied a total of six goals and 17 assists. She scored a career high three goals and eight assists last season in her junior campaign. Sanders is also currently a member of the 96 NC Alliance club team; the team won the NCYSA State Cup Championship for the 2014-15 season.
Riley Sanders—the second of two Florida signees—attended Apopka high school. A four-year letter winner, Sanders tallied 38 goals and 41 assists for the Blue Darters; she scored 20 goals and registered 21 assists in her senior season. Sanders also played for Orlando City ECNL U17 and U18 teams.
The center back turned midfielder was named the coaches MVP her freshman and sophomore seasons, and was named to the all-metro first team squad her sophomore, junior and senior seasons. Sanders also garnered all-FACA state honors her junior and senior seasons, and also earned the District II Player of the Year award her senior season.
Sanders is also a member of the 2013-14 and 2014-15 National Honor Society.
Skylar Wilcox attended Riverbend high school in Spotsylvania, Va., and is a member of Fredericksburg Area Soccer Club.
The center-midfielder/forward has tallied 18 goals and 20 assists for the Bears; she was named to the all-district second team, and named most valuable offensive player in her freshman season. In addition, Wilcox was named to the all-district first team and garnered a second offensive MVP award for her 2013 season success.
Wilcox also played varsity field hockey for Riverbend her freshman year, garnering a letter in addition to her letters every season for her contributions on the soccer pitch.
Rounding out the 2015 signing class is Shannon Wratchford, a teammate of Wilcox's with the FASA Hotspurs.
A three-year letter winner at Spotsylvania high school, Wratchford holds the program record for goals, 55, all before her senior season, in addition to 16 assists.
Wratchford was named first team all-conference, all-regional, and second team all-state as a freshman and sophomore; she was named co-player of the year as a sophomore as well. As a junior she was named first team all-conference and second team all-state.
In addition to soccer, Wratchford played volleyball for Spotsylvania; she was named to the honor roll all four years and is a member of the National Honor Society.
