ATHENS, GA. – Lily Tang lowered the school 200 backstroke record and Campbell finished sixth at the 2015 Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association Championships.
Tang registered a 2:00.65 in Saturday's finals, finishing fifth in the meet. The junior from Marietta, Ga. notched a 2:00.20 in Saturday's preliminaries, setting a Campbell record. Tang also held the previous mark, set at this season's Georgia Tech Invitational.
Tang also set the CU 100 back record on Friday with a 55.40. Carly Bowles also set a school record in Friday's action, turning in a 1:03.93 in the 100 breaststroke.
Campbell also set school records in each of the opening two days of the CCSA Championships, lowering the 200 medley relay standard (1:44.23) on Thursday, and setting the 200 freestyle relay record with a time of 1:34.65 behind Sindija Silina, Kat Costin, Larissa Joassaint and Michelle Case.
Sarah Jabusch tallied a 17:17.19, finishing seventh in the 1650 free on Saturday. Geena Squartino also posted a time of 17:33.90, good for 14th.
In the 200 breaststroke finals, Carly Bowles recorded a 2:23.11, taking 14th.
In the 200 fly, Sarah Jabusch finished sixth with a time of 2:05.33. Michelle Case also took 10th with a 2:04.87, while Caroline Clark claimed 12th with a 2:05.63.
Campbell finished in sixth place with 598 team points, while Florida Gulf Coast won the CCSA Championship with 1575 points. Liberty (1239), Georgia Southern (1110.5), Gardner-Webb (1026.5) and Incarnate Word (851) rounded out the top five in the standings.
