NOTRE DAME, Ind. - Lilla Juhasz topped her own school record twice in the 60m hurdles at Notre Dame's Meyo Invitational to lead Campbell's contingent at the prestigious meet.
Juhasz lowered the school-record mark by nearly a tenth of a second just a week after setting the mark with an 8.60 performance at the Hilton Garden Invitational.
Evan Darm also tallied a top-10 finish for the Camels at the meet; the distance specialist brought home a ninth-place finish in the 5,000m run.
Campbell will return to action with three meets next weekend, kicking off with the High Point Team Challenge next Thursday at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, N.C.
Following is an event-by-event recap of Campbell's action from the Meyo Invitational.
Women's 60m Hurdles (Prelims)
Lilla Juhasz toppled her own week-old school record, winning her heat and advancing to the semifinals after placing eighth with a time of 8.58.
Women's 60m Hurdles (Semifinals)
Juhasz fired off an even faster time in the semifinals, breaking the school record once again by five-hundredths of a second, finishing 11th overall in 8.53.
Women's 400m Dash
Lynette Akai competed for the Camels, placing 52nd overall after crossing the line in 57.36.
Women's 600m Run
Akai again represented Campbell in the mid-distance event, recording a time of 1:37.74 to finish 28th overall.
Men's 3,000m Run
Jacob Kipserem turned in a strong time for the Camels, finishing in 8:37.22 to earn a 33rd-place finish.
Men's 5,000m Run
Evan Darm tallied a top-10 finish for Campbell, blazing to a time of 14:28.91 to place ninth overall in the long-distance event.
Men's High Jump
Davian Rhodes finished in a tie for 11th place after reaching a height of 6-6.75 (2.00m), narrowly missing his personal-best mark in the event.
