BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell head football coach Mike Minter will sound the Warning Siren prior to the Carolina Hurricanes game against the Chicago Blackhawks Monday, March 23 at 7:00 p.m. at PNC Arena.

Minter heads into his third season as head coach at Campbell, leading the Camels to the program's second-most total and conference wins in its seven seasons at 5-7 overall and 4-4 in PFL play. A school record seven Camels, plus eight honorable mentions, were named to the 2014 All-PFL teams, including four first teamers. Eight CU student-athletes, with six first team members, were tabbed PFL All-Academic.

The Carolina Hurricanes Warning Siren debuted on Oct. 10, 2008, at the Hurricanes' 2008-2009 home opener against the Florida Panthers. It began a new Canes tradition where, prior to the start of each game, a celebrity, corporate sponsor, season ticket holder, suite client or fan acts as the official "Siren Sounder" of the game and operates the "Hurricanes Warning Siren" to signify that the team is about to take the ice.

The Hurricanes Warning Siren is an actual air-raid siren and is located at section 228, directly below the "Home of the Carolina Hurricanes" sign that adorns the upper-bowl façade.

Every game has had a different Siren Sounder, each tending to have his or her own special way of pumping up the crowd for the game to begin.

The Hurricanes Warning Siren has received local and national attention, especially during the 2009 playoff run.  Past siren sounders include Hurricanes alumnus Glen Wesley, Robert Kron and Bates Battaglia; Super Bowl Champion Bill Cowher; golfing legend and six-time major champion Nick Faldo; Miracle on Ice member and 1980 Gold Medalist Jim Craig; NFL players including the legendary Torry Holt, Carolina Panther Steve Smith, Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Mike Glennon and Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson; U.S. Open Golf Champion Webb Simpson; NC State basketball coach Mark Gottfried; Duke football coach David Cutcliffe; Lennie Rosenbluth, captain of the 1957 undefeated national champion UNC Tar Heels men's basketball team; Eric Montross, member of the 1993 UNC men's basketball champions and All-American player; 1983 National Champion from NC State Sydney Lowe; top ranked U.S. tennis player John Isner; wrestling great Ric Flair; a variety of Olympians including gold medalist Cullen Jones; former North Carolina Senator Elizabeth Dole; NASCAR drivers Ryan Newman, Reagan Smith and Joey Lagano and more.

Campbell's 2015 Spring Game will on Monday, April 6 at 6 p.m. under the lights at Barker-Lane Stadium.

Campbell announced its 2015 schedule in January, featuring six home games, including a Thursday night opener. The Camels kick off the 2015 season with a Thursday night home tilt, hosting Pikeville on September 3 in Buies Creek.
