GEORGETOWN, S.C. -- The first round of the 2015 Big South Women's Golf Championship was rained out Monday and has been reduced to a 36-hole tournament. Scores from today will not count, and the first round has been rescheduled for Tuesday at 7:30am at DeBordieu Golf Club.
Rain began Monday at 10:20 a.m. and play was first suspended at 11:09am. After a 1 hour, 38 minute delay, play resumed with intermittent rain before it turned heavy at approximately 2:00 p.m., which halted play for a second time. Play was determined finished for the day 45 minutes later and declared a wash out.
Pairings for Tuesday will remain the same as Monday. Second-seeded Campbell will tee off at 9:10 a.m. paired with top-seeded Coastal Carolina and third seed Charleston Southern.
