BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell men's tennis will travel to Asheville, N.C., to take on the No. 5 seeded Presbyterian Blue Hose in a quarterfinal matchup at the Big South Men's Tennis Tournament Saturday at 3 p.m., hosted by UNC Asheville at the Asheville Racquet Club.
The No. 4 seeded Camels (12-9 overall, 5-3 BSC) defeated Presbyterian (20-8 overall, 4-4 BSC), 4-3, on March 15 in the team's only matchup this season.
Coastal Carolina will enter the tournament as the No. 1 seed after finishing the year with a 6-1 record in conference. Liberty tallied a 6-2 record and will head into the tournament as the No. 2 seed.
Winthrop finished the season tied with the Camels at 5-3 in conference play but the Eagles took the No. 3 spot due to tiebreaker procedure. Presbyterian sat alone with a 4-4 record to finish as the No. 5 seed.
UNC Asheville and Gardner-Webb tallied identical 3-5 conference records. The Bulldogs earned the No. 7 seed due to the head-to-head tiebreaker, and the Runnin' Bulldogs claimed No. 8. Longwood rounds out the field as the No. 9 seed after finishing this season with a 0-8 conference record.
The 2015 Big South Men's Tennis Tournament begins Saturday and concludes with the championship match on Tuesday.
