ARLINGTON, TEXAS – The Camels fall to the Mavericks of UT Arlington in three sets 3-0 (25-17, 25-17, 25-18) Friday night at College Park Center.

Katelyn Layden led the Camels with 25 attacks while McKenzie Fell recorded 18. Mary Crema led the defense with 12 digs and Summer Schuitema tallied seven digs and 18 assists.

Qiana Canete led the Mavericks with 25 attacks and Stacey Koch was close behind with 22. Cassidy Wheeler tallied seven digs for the UT Arlington defense with Jordan Kolub recording six.

The Camels kept the first set close through the first timeout where UT Arlington held the lead at 13-9. The Mavericks started to creep away with the help of a few attack and kill errors committed by the Camels.

At the second timeout, UT Arlington held a 20-13 lead. The Camels started to close the gap after an ace by Schuitema and couple of kills by Layden, but the Mavericks were able to hold on to the lead with the help of eight kills between Koch and Zhanelle Geathers to take the first set 25-17. Campbell's stats for the first set were 12 kills with three errors and 34 attacks.

In the second set the Camels kept the Mavericks within arm's reach but fell in the end 25-17. At the first timeout taken by the Camels the score sat at 15-7. Campbell scored four kills before the TO was called.

After the timeout, CU went on to score five kills and had help with some errors from the Mavericks, but were unable to catch the home team. UT Arlington had help from the ten kills from Canete and Koch. The Camels recorded nine kills with five errors and 28 attacks in the second set against the Mavericks.

UT Arlington took set three 25-18 but not without some fight from the Camels. McKenzie Fell got the Camels three points off of her three kills while Jenny Tait, Jessica Stocking and Madison Linxwiler each add two apiece. CU recorded 10 kills with eight errors and 34 attacks compared to the 13 kills, six errors and 33 attacks that the Mavericks recorded.
