Football holds first practice of 2015

BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell held its first practice of the 2015 football season Friday at Barker-Lane Stadium.

The Camels practiced in helmets only. The session was the second of a 16-day camp schedule for the team, which began yesterday with conditioning.

The team's preseason camp schedule includes two scrimmage dates, with the first coming on Aug. 13 at Barker-Lane Stadium. The Camels' second scrimmage with coincide with the team's annual Fan Fest. The scrimmage begins at 6 p.m., with a meet the team session following.

Campbell hits the field for its first practice on Friday, Aug. 7 at 3 p.m. CU's first day in full pads will come on Tuesday, Aug. 11 at 9 a.m.

All practices and scrimmage dates and times are subject to change due to weather. All practice sessions will be held at Barker-Lane Stadium.

The PFL announced its preseason team, selected by the conference's head coaches, on July 29.

The PFL released its 2015 preseason coaches' poll on July 28, with Campbell taking a fourth place vote. Campbell kicks off the 2015 season Thursday night, Sept. 3 against Pikeville.
