WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – A single day meet continued the Camels season as they participated in the UNCG Spartans Team Challenge at the JDL Fast Track.
In the 60-meters on the women's side, Denoica Reid led the way for the Fighting Camels as she finished fifth with her 7.83s time. Lilla Juhasz finished one spot behind Reid, finishing at 7.85s for Campbell. Both Reid and Juhasz improved by .09s from last week's Virginia Tech Invitational.
Reid also finished third in the 200-meter dash, with a time of 25.88s, a mark she also improved on from last week's time. Juhasz and Sabina Allen also competed in the 200-meter dash for the Fighting Camels. A trio of Camels competed in the women's 800-meter race, with Kelsey Rea leading the group as she ran a 2:26.00 time, finishing seventh out of the group.
Tatiana Wolfe competed in the 60-meter hurdles for Campbell, finishing in third place as she ran an 8.86s in the event.
The Campbell women's 4x400-meter team finished third overall as they completed the race in 3:58.07. Jocelyn Culbreath, Asia Olds, Wolfe and Racheal Brown represented the Orange and Black in the race.
On the men's side in the 60-meter dash, Tashinga Chitambira finished sixth overall in the race, the highest of the five Camels in the event.
Jacob Kipserem represented the Fighting Camels in the 1-mile run finishing fifth with a 4:31.06 mark. In the other distance event, Mason Holt finished first in the 3,000-meter race as he crossed the line at 8:53.28.
Campbell's 4x400-meter relay team finished fourth on the day at 3:27.61. The 4x400 relay team consisted of Chigozie Ataviwgho, Khai Mclin, Lorne Jenkins and Cornelius Scott.
Noah Tyson finished third in the men's triple jump, as he jumped 13.41 meters during his final jump. Taylor Swanson finished fourth in the same event for Campbell.
