CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Campbell University softball has been tabbed to finish seventh in the 2016 Big South Preseason Poll as voted on by the league's coaches. Campbell earned votes as high as first place and as low as eighth, including a majority of four in seventh.
Campbell has eight returners from last year's squad while welcoming nine newcomers to the team, which begins its 2016 season on Feb. 12 at 12:30 p.m. in Buies Creek against Dayton in the Hampton Inn Invitational.
Morgan Noad from Coastal Carolina earned Preseason Player of the Year and Elizabeth McCarthy from Longwood claimed Preseason Pitcher of the Year honors.
