POWELLS POINT, N.C. – Craig Hornberger is tied for fifth place and Campbell is seventh in the team standings following Sunday's first round of the Old Dominion/OBX Collegiate men's golf tournament.

The 2015 ODU/OBX individual champ, Hornberger shot a two-under-par 69 Sunday and is two strokes off the lead.  J.B. Williams of Akron, Pablo Heredia Iglesias of Bowling Green and Andrew Reynolds of La Salle sit atop the leader board at 4-under 67.

Akron (279) leads the team standings by two strokes over Ball State (281) heading into Monday's second round of the 54-hole event.  Campbell is tied with Delaware at 4-over 288.

Hornberger is tied for second in the field with 14 pars and in par-4 scoring (-2).  He played the par-3 holes 1-under, tied for 4th in the field.  Sophomore Ray Kraivixien is tied for 23rd at even-par 71.  He also played the par-4 layouts at 2-under, tied for second.

Senior Gaston Bertinotti and sophomore Jesper Svensson are tied for 40th at 3-over 74.  Junior Thomas La Morte is tied for 56th at 4-over 75.  Bertinotti and La Morte were both 1-under on the par-3 holes (tied for 4th).  Svensson tied for second with 6 birdies and on the par-5 holes (-3).
