Vanderbilt tops swimming 144.5-117.5

NASHVILLE, TENN. – Vanderbilt topped Campbell 144.5-117.5 at Centennial Sportsplex, with Camels taking six event wins.

Vanderbilt moved to 2-5 in dual meets on the season, while Campbell dipped to 7-3 with the road loss.

Michelle Case and Caroline Clark both took a pair of top finishes. Case claimed the 50 free with a time of 23.95, then won the 100 free with a 52.63 mark. Clark registered a win in the 100 fly with a 56.99 mark, then took the 100 IM with a 59.79 clip.

Camels also swept the podium in the 1000 freestyle, led by Geena Squartino's 10:47.46 mark. Megan Showmaker and Caylee Addison followed with times of 10:50.00 and 10:52.84.

Campbell also closed out the meet with a win in the 200 medley relay, clocking in at 1:36.50.

The Commodores controlled the meet after sweeping the 200 free, leading by as much as 122-85 before Campbell closed the meet with three straight wins.

Campbell will break until a Jan. 20 trip to Liberty. The Camels host their home season finale on Jan. 28, taking on North Florida.
