ATHENS, GA. – Sophomore Caroline Clark set a Campbell 100 fly school record to highlight action Friday at the 2016 Coastal Collegiate Sports Association Swimming and Diving Championships.
Clark posted a time of 55.17 in Friday morning's preliminary round, and then turned in a 55.59 mark in the finals, finishing eighth. The performance broke her own school record, set at last season's CSCAA Collegiate Classic.
Sarah Jabusch also took fourth in the 400 IM, posting a time of 4:27.97 in Friday's finals. In the 400 medley relay, the CU team of Karah Sizemore, Taylor McMinn, Caroline Clark and Michelle Case finished fifth, clocking in at 3:49.38.
Taylor McMinn and Carly Bowles finished back to back in 14th and 15th in the 100 breaststroke, posting times of 1:05.64 and 1:05.87. Kat Costin also took a 14th place finish in the 100 back with a 58.38 mark.
Campbell remains sixth with 469 team points, trailing Incarnate Word's 519. Florida Gulf Coast maintained its lead with 1188 points, followed by Liberty at 944. Campbell owns a 136 point lead on UNC Asheville.
The CCSA Championships will conclude Saturday, with events beginning at 9 a.m.
