BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Campbell women's soccer head coach Stuart Horne has announced the signing of 12 student-athletes to National Letters of Intent (NLI) for the incoming class. Horne is entering his third season with the Fighting Camels, coming off a Big South runner-up finish during the 2015 campaign.
This year's class is comprised of two goalkeepers, four defenders, three midfielders and three forwards. The class coming in seeks to continue to build on the foundation left by the eight seniors who played their final season in Buies Creek in 2015.
Both goalkeepers coming to Campbell are from California, Natalya Marcove from Paso Robles and Paso Robles High School and Delaney Beck from Bakersfield and Garces Memorial High School.
Callie Beckwith (Fulton, N.Y.) from G Ray Bodley High School, Morgan Garris (Gainesville, Fla.) from Gainesville High School, Julia Andreozzi (Langhorne, Pa.) from Neshaminy High School and Lexie Cleveland (Westminster, Calif.) from Marina High School join the Fighting Camels program and add depth on the defensive side of the field.
In the midfield, Campbell welcomes Sydney Towns (Denver, Colo.) from Horizon High School, Juliette Dubon (Miami, Fla.) from Monsignor Edward Pace High School and Kelly Ann Evans (Raleigh, N.C.) from Needham Broughton High School.
At forward, Alexa Genas (Albuquerque, N.M.) from Eldorado High School, Rosie O'Neal (Virginia Beach, Va.) from Tallwood High School and Madi Kyle (Kernersville, N.C.) from Wesleyan Christian Academy will look to bolster the Campbell attack in 2016.
"We are really excited about our 2016 freshmen class," head coach Stuart Horne stated. "They are going to be a great addition to our current group of outstanding Campbell women's soccer players. Each player brings in something special that will complement our current players and team's style of play.
