The Lady Camels built their first double-digit lead of the contest on a MaKala Rouse three that pushed the advantage to 51-41 with 7:23 left to play. The Bulldogs (21-6, 14-4), who entered the contest with a one game lead for first in the conference standings, answered with a 9-2 spurt to cut the deficit to 53-50 with 5:10 on the clock.
Price responded with a huge jumper on the other end and Qua Brown stripped the ball in the ensuing UNCA possession and turned it into a layup. Following a KJ Weaver free throw, Price hit layups in back-to-back Campbell possessions and CU led 61-53 with 1:42 left to play.
Chantori Major hit a jumper to bring the Bulldogs back within six, but that would be the final Asheville field goal of the game. Price converted three free throws in the final minute to seal the eight-point victory. CU shot 40 percent from the field including a 50 percent mark in the fourth. The Lady Camels also shot a season-high 50 percent (7-for-14) from three-point range.

It was an auspicious start for both sides as Asheville held a narrow 5-4 lead midway through the first period. A Brown layup drew CU within 9-8 of the lead with 2:57 left in the opening frame and a Coffer three pointer gave the Lady Camels their first lead of the day at 11-9.
Following a Jessica Wall three for the Bulldogs, CU ended the first period on a 5-0 spurt with an Edwards three and a Coffer layup to take a 16-12 lead after the first. Coffer finished the opening period with nine of CU's 16 points.
The first four points of the second went to the Bulldogs to tie the game at 16-16 with 6:57 on the clock. Campbell responded with a 7-2 run to take a 23-18 lead midway through the frame. Later, a Sonora Dengokl layup brought the Bulldogs within 25-22 with 38 seconds before halftime.
However, Price drained a three with 20 seconds left to send the Lady Camels to the break with a 28-23 advantage. CU held UNCA to just one field goal in the second period, an early layup that kicked off the frame.
A 7-0 run for the Bulldogs opened off the third period as they re-took the lead at 30-28. A Price trey broke up the run and re-gained the advantage for the Lady Camels. A few minutes later, another Price triple and a pair of Emanuel free throws increased the margin to 42-36 with 3:04 on the clock.
Major broke up the run with a three but four more points for CU made it a 9-3 run to end the third and send the Lady Camels to the fourth with a 46-39 advantage.
Each side pulled down 41 rebounds while Campbell held a 24-18 advantage in points in the paint. The Lady Camels forced 20 turnovers and turned them into 21 points.
