BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell wrapped up its regular season Saturday, sweeping visiting UNC Wilmington and Mount St. Mary's at the Johnson Aquatic Center.
Campbell topped UNCW 160-101, while defeating Mount St. Mary's 216-45. UNCW also defeated Mount St. Mary's 210-51.
With the wins, Campbell rounds out the regular season 7-5 in dual competition.
CU opened the meet with a win in the 200 medley relay, posting a time of 1:48.97 before UNCW took events two and four, the 1000 freestyle and the 100 backstroke. Campbell sophomore Michelle Case kept pace for the Camels with a win in event three, the 200 free, however, with a 1:55.26 mark.
Taylor McMinn followed with a win in the 100 breaststroke (1:07.37) and Sarah Jabusch took the 200 butterfly (2:08.51) to give Campbell the meet lead.
Case then collected consecutive victories in the 50 free (24.45) and the 100 free (52.89) to make it four straight wins for the Camels.
McMinn tacked on another victory in the 200 breaststroke with a 2:26.68 clip, and Caroline Clark sealed the sweep for CU with a 57.44 in the 100 fly. Campbell added on a win in the 200 free relay to close out the meet with a 1:37.11.
Next up for the Camels will be the CCSA Championships, running Feb. 17-20 in Athens, Ga.
