BUIES CREEK, N.C. --- Annie Pazulski scored three goals to help lead Campbell to a 13-6 victory in women's lacrosse action from Barker-Lane Stadium on Saturday. Loren Day had a game-high five points for the Lady Camels (3-4).
Day assisted on a season-high four goals and scored one. Kayla Reilly also had four helpers while Erica Hitch, Rebecca Sheinfeld and Annie Cook scored a pair of goals while Pazulski added an assist for four points. With the win, CU completes a perfect non-conference home record at 3-0.
Robert Morris (2-4) kicked off the scoring in the second minute of play and held a 2-1 lead five minutes in following a Jessica Karwacki free-position goal. Pazulski and Mackenzie Koeller tallied back-to-back goals for the Camels to give CU its first lead of the day at 3-2 and 19:26 left to play in the first half.
RMU's Coery Karwacki tied the game at 3-3 one minute later. However, three-straight Camel goals over the next five minutes pushed the Campbell advantage to 6-3 with 11:56 on the clock. A free-position goal for the Colonials cut the deficit to two, but Sarah Paul found the back of the cage to give the Camels a 7-4 lead at the halftime.
CU opened the second half with three-straight scores over seven minutes to take a six-goal advantage. Following Robert Morris' first goal of the second stanza, Pazulski and Day went back-to-back to give the Camels their largest lead of the day at 12-5 with 10:32 left to play. The Colonials tallied their final goal of the day before Carter Koontz closed out the scoring for Campbell with 5:21 left in the game.
Six different players recorded the Colonials' six goals while Dana Davis had a team-high two points with a goal and an assist. Merredith Bechler earned the win in goal making a pair of saves. Sarah Arnold took the loss despite nine stops.
Campbell out-shot Robert Morris 32-13 and held a 13-9 advantage on the draw. April Reinhart finished with a game-high three caused turnovers and added three ground balls. Erin O'Hara and Jillian Summers also had three ground balls.
The Camels will kick off a three-game road trip on Friday at Furman. First draw from Greenville, South Carolina is set for 7 p.m.
