BUIES CREEK, N.C. – For the second consecutive weekend Campbell track & field will send representatives to two different outdoor competitions. A select group of student-athletes was chosen to compete in the Pepsi Florida Relay in Gainesville, Fla. while the rest of the squad will compete at the HPU VertKlasse Meeting hosted by High Point University.
Earlier in the week, Amon Terer posted a new personal best in the 5,000-meter race, running 13:58.32. A mark that puts him into a pool of candidates who will qualify for the NCAA East Regional meet at the end of the season. Also at the Raleigh Relays, Lawrence Kipkoech set a new personal best and school record in the 10,000-meter race with his time of 29:11.00.
At the UNF Spring Break Invitational, Sabina Allen recorded a new school record and personal best in the triple jump with a distance of 12.89-meters. Jaszlyn Jenkins reached a new personal best in the triple jump, recording a mark of 11.96-meters. In the 800-meter race, Kelsey Rea set a new personal mark of 2:15.89. Deonica Reid's 25.37s time in the 200-meter race was a personal best for her.
Campbell travels to the Aggie Invitational March 9 followed by the Campbell Invitational March 15-16.
