GEORGETOWN, S.C. – Nadine White moved into the individual lead and Campbell took over the top spot on the team leader board following Tuesday's second round of the Big South Conference women's golf championship at DeBordieu Club.

Annelie Sjoholm is fourth and Tahnia Ravnjak tied for fifth for Campbell, which is seeking its third conference title in the last five seasons.  Wednesday's final round will begin at 8:00 a.m.  Campbell (296-293—589) is set to tee off with defending champion Coastal Carolina (294-297—591) and Charleston Southern (302-301—603) at 8:50 a.m.  Live scoring is available at Golfstat.com.

"It was certainly a roller coaster today," said Campbell head coach John Crooks.  "They had a great, great front nine and played really well.  On the back, they played solidly. We're fortunate to being in the position we are in.  It's going to come down to the last nine holes on the last day.  We've got to make good decisions and hit good shots.  We're looking forward to it."

After trailing Coastal by two strokes through 18 holes, the Camels shot a five-over-par 293 as a team Tuesday.  All five CU golfers are among the top 20 with sophomore Ayelen Irizar is tied for 12th and junior Louise Latorre is tied for 18th.  The Camels lead the event with 27 birdies (Coastal is second with 18) and top the field in par three (+2) and par four (+18) scoring.

White (73-70—143) birdied two of her final three holes to post the low round of the day.  The junior from Brisbane, Australia had five birdies Tuesday and made the turn at 2-under.  She had five-straight pars before a double-bogey on the par-four 15th.  However, she recovered with a birdie on the par-three 16th and closed with a birdie on the par-five 18th hole to take a two-shot lead over Coastal Carolina teammates Bailey Cocca (72-73—145) and Lena Schaeffner (71-74—145).

Through 36 holes, White leads the field in par-three scoring (-4) and is tied for the lead with eight birdies.  She played the par four holes at 4-over (T3rd) and was even on the par fives (8th).  Already an individual winner this season at the Golfweek Program Challenge and Web.com Intercollegiate, White is seeking her second-straight top-five showing at the Big South event after a fourth-place finish in last year's rain-shortened tourney.

Sjoholm, who shared the 18-hole individual lead with Schaeffner, followed Monday's 71 with a  four-over 75 and is alone in fourth place at 2-over 146.  She leads the field in par four scoring (+1) and also has eight birdies through 36 holes on the par-72, 6082-yard DeBordieu layout. A sophomore from Vasteras, Sweden, Sjoholm has 22 pars and has played the par five holes even through two rounds.

Ravnjak made four birdies in a five-hole stretch to make the turn at three under.  Overall, she finished the day at one-over 73 with six birdies.  Through 36 holes, the senior from Cordeaux Heights, Australia is tied for the tournament lead in birdies (8), par-five scoring (-2) and is tied for third on the par four layouts (+3).

A sophomore from Buenos Aires, Argentina, who like Sjoholm is making her Big South Championship debut, Irizar knocked two strokes off her first round score to move into a tie for 12th (77-75—152) and 8-over. She has 22 pars through 36 holes and is even on the par-three holes to tie for fifth in the field.

The 2014 Big South individual champion, Latorre had a birdie and 14 pars Tuesday to move into a tie for 18th (80-75—155).  Her 23 pars over 36 holes are tied for 10th in the field.

Now in his 25th year in charge of the Campbell women's program, Crooks has guided his Campbell women to 12 conference championships and 10 runner-up finishes, including the Big South crowns in 1993, 1994, 2012 and 2014.  His teams have made 18 NCAA regional appearances and have advanced to the NCAA Championship three times, including the past two seasons.
