Men's tennis receives No. 7 seed heading into the Big South tournament

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Big South Conference office announced the seedings for the men's tennis conference tournament starting on Wednesday, April 13. Campbell received the No. 7 seed after finishing the season 8-12 and 3-5 in conference action.

No. 7 Campbell will face No. 2 Presbyterian on Thursday, April 14, at 11 a.m. in the quarterfinals at the Hershey-Esbenshade Tennis Courts on the campus of Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va. The winner will face the victor of match five between No. 3 UNC Asheville and No. 6 Winthrop on Friday, April 16, at 2 p.m. in the conference semifinals.

Finishing 8-0 in conference action and earning the No. 1 seed is Coastal Carolina. The Chanticleers finished 18-3 on the season to claim the regular season title. Following in second are the Blue Hose from Presbyterian with a 6-2 conference mark and 12-14 overall. Presbyterian's two conference losses came to No. 1 Coastal Carolina and No. 6 seed Winthrop.

Earning the third seed with a 6-2 conference mark is UNC Asheville falling only to top seeds Coastal Carolina and Presbyterian. Gardner-Webb, Liberty, and Winthrop all finished the season with a 4-4 conference mark. The Runnin' Bulldogs received the No. 4 seed after referring to the wins and losses to decide the tiebreaker.

Liberty took the fifth seed followed by Winthrop who claimed the No. 6 spot. Campbell claimed seventh after finishing 3-5 against Big South opponents while Radford and Longwood wrapped up the rankings at number eight and nine respectively.

Saturday, April 16 – Championship
Match 8:  Match 6 winner vs. Match 7 winner, 3:00pm
