BRYAN, TEXAS – Tahnia Ravnjak and Annelie Sjoholm finished in a tie for 19th and Campbell tied for ninth place on the team leader board after Saturday's final round of the NCAA women's golf regional championship at Traditions Club.

Campbell (288-296-300—884) missed qualifying for a third-straight NCAA finals by five strokes.  No.-29 Texas (293-284-302—879) secured the sixth and final berth in the NCAA Championship by one stroke over Tulane.

Sixth-ranked Georgia (285-284-289—858) was the lone school in the 18-team field to finish in red numbers (-6) on the par-72, 6373-yard Traditions Club layout.  No.-11 Arizona was second (864), one stroke ahead of third-ranked UCLA (865).  No.-19 Furman finished fourth (873), 43rd-ranked Miami (877) was fifth, two shots ahead of No.-29 Texas.

"This is such a special group," said Campbell head coach John Crooks' whose team has reached the NCAA regional round the last five years.  "They gave a great effort today.  Unfortunately, we came up a little short.  I am so proud of this team and all they accomplished.  Winning the conference and beating the host Texas A&M on their home course says a lot about our ability.  I am excited about our future."

Campbell turned in the program's second-lowest 54-hole score (884) in 17 all-time regional trips, a mark that was six strokes better than the 892 tally last year's team posted to finish sixth at the Raleigh Regional and earn an NCAA finals berth.

The Camels led the 18-school field with 181 pars and tied for third in par-3 scoring (+4).  In addition to tying with No.-29 TCU, the 51st-ranked Camels finished ahead of three top-50 programs – Louisville (38), Texas A&M (23) and SMU (35).

The lone senior in the lineup, Ravnjak produced the team's low round of the day and secured her second career top-20 finish in regional play.  Only the fourth player in Campbell history to participate in four NCAA regional events, Ravnjak finished at 2-over for the tournament (71-75-72—218).  The collegiate final round for the four-time all-conference performer included two birdies and 14 pars.  For the tournament, Ravnjak played the par-3 holes at 2-under, tied for fifth in the 96-golfer field, and was 3-under on the par-5 layouts to tie for fifth.

Sjoholm, a sophomore who was runner-up at last month's Big South Championship, collected a top-20 finish (70-72-76—218) in her inaugural NCAA post-season event.  She was 3-under on the par-three holes, second-best in the field.

Ravnjak and Sjoholm tied for the third-best 54-hole score in the program's NCAA Regional history, bettered only by Ravnjak's 215 and Lisbeth Brooks' 217 recorded at the 2014 event.

Big South player of the year Nadine White tied for 32nd place (73-72-77—222) and was second in the event with 40 pars.  Sophomore Ayelen Irizar made 39 pars (tied for fourth) and finished in a tie for 53rd (74-77-75—226).  Junior Louise Latorre finished 90th (85-80-81—246).

Bronte Law of UCLA (69-66-74—209) and Bailey Tardy of Georgia (69-69-71—209) tied for individual honors, one stroke ahead of Miami's Dewi Weber (70-69-71—210).

In addition to the six team qualifiers, Laura Lonardi of Baylor (75-66-71—212), Olivia Cason of Louisville (71-69-73—213) and Bianca Pagdanganan of Gonzaga (67-69-78—214) claimed individual berths to the NCAA finals, May 20-25 at Eugene, Ore.

Campbell closed the 2015-16 season with the program's 19th NCAA post-season appearance in the last 24 years and its 13th conference title.
