BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell women's soccer head coach Stuart Horne has added a pair of transfer student-athletes to his 2016 incoming class. Tatum Printy is a midfielder from Las Vegas, Nevada and Emily Erwin is a central defender from Santa Barbara, California.
"We are very excited to have Tatum and Emily join our program this year," said third year head coach Stuart Horne. "Tatum is coming off a strong freshman year at A&M Corpus Christi where she was a significant contributor to that program. Emily was a mainstay in the back line at a very good SBCC program. They are both great people and soccer players that will add a lot to our team environment on and off of the field."
Printy played club soccer at Heat FC and was a member of the Nevada State ODP Team from 2009-12. Her team was a two-time Surf Cup Champions (2012, 2014), Mayor's Cup Champions (2013) and Nevada State Champions (2011). She graduated from Coronado High School and comes to Campbell from Texas A&M Corpus Christi. For the Islanders, she appeared in 18 games and started 17 and scoring one goal. She recorded 12 total shots including six on target. Her lone goal at Central Arkansas was the game-winner for her squad.
"As a transfer, I am focused on coming in and contributing right away to continue to build off of the amazing year the team had in 2015," said Printy on joining the Fighting Camels women's soccer program.
Erwin was a four-year member of the Dos Pueblos High School team, primarily at center back. She played four years at the varsity level and was a two-time first team all-league member along with a second team all-league honor during her sophomore year. She was also a member of the Santa Barbara Soccer Club and from 2011-14 was a member of the Cal South Premier team. She was also a team captain from 2010-14. She comes to Campbell from Santa Barbara City College where she appeared and started in 16 games. She logged one goal and one assist and was named to the second-team All-WSC (Western State Conference). During the 2014 season she logged three goals in 22 starts for the Vaqueros.
"The coaching staff at Campbell is amazing," said Erwin on coming to Campbell and joining the Fighting Camels. "Coach Horne, Azem, and Corti are extremely enthusiastic about their program, players and the game. This drew me to the program and made me even more excited to play for them."
