BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell women's track & field jumpers, Sabina Allen and Shenelle McKay, are set to appear at the Jamaican National Championships/Olympic Trials & NACAC team trials, Sunday July 3.
McKay will be competing in the women's high jump at 5 p.m. and Allen will appear in the women's triple jump at 5:30 p.m.
During the 2016 outdoor season, McKay took home a pair of third place finishes at the Big South Championships. She also set a new personal best in the high jump at the Duke Invitational, clearing a height of 1.74-meters. The Kingston, Jamaica native also set new personal bests in the women's long jump and women's triple jump.
Allen also took home a pair of medals at the Big South Championships, claiming two first place finishes, including the women's triple jump. She also set a new personal best in the same event at the Campbell University Invitational with a mark of 13.09-meters. The Spanish Town, Jamaica native also was a member of the 4x100-meter relay team that took home third place at the conference meet. Allen's performances throughout the season earned her a spot at the NCAA Track & Field East Regional in the long jump and triple jump.
