BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell wrestling head coach Cary Kolat has announced the hiring of Garett Kiley as assistant coach. Kiley joins Scotti Sentes and Evan Henderson as assistant wrestling coaches, both of whom joined in 2016.

Kiley will primarily focus on working with the upper weights of the wrestling program, along with alumni relations and fundraising. He comes to Buies Creek from Iowa State where he served as Director of Operations for the Cyclone Wrestling Program. He also served as the Director of Operations for the Cyclone Wrestling Club and managed day-to-day operations for the Cyclones' Regional Olympic Training Center.

"I am incredibly excited for the opportunity to work for a legend in Cary [Kolat]," Kiley stated. "I can see that he is doing things the right way in building up the program. It is headed in the right direction and is something I want to be a part of."

Kiley served as the Assistant Head Wrestling Coach at Concordia University in Nebraska. During the program's first two seasons he helped coach 10 NAIA National Qualifiers and a pair of Academic All-Americans. Outside of wrestling, he served as a strength coach for other sports at Concordia.

He also served as Assistant Men's and Women's Wrestling Coach at Wayland Baptist University in Texas. During his time at Wayland, he helped coach a University World silver medalist, a national champion, 11 All-Americans and a pair of Academic All-Americans. While an assistant coach at Wayland, he also competed in the ASICS US Open Veterans Freestyle Nationals, winning the tournament.

Kiley got his coaching start at the University of Nebraska as a Volunteer Assistant Strength Coach for wrestling in 2008. While at Nebraska, the squad had one NCAA champion, four All-Americans, seven national qualifiers and the team placed fourth at the NCAA Championship on top of winning the Big 12 title. He also led summer wrestling camps at Nebraska as well as Nebraska Extreme club practices.

He graduated from Simpson College in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physical Education and in 2013 he earned his Master of Arts in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University-Irvine. He is also a nationally Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA). Kiley is married to his wife, Brittany Kiley.
