BUIES CREEK, N.C. --- Campbell women's basketball coach Ronny Fisher has announced Keyonna Allen as the Camels' director of operations for the upcoming 2016-17 season.
Allen will handle all aspects of team travel, social media, and community service projects in addition to administrative office duties. She is a three-year letter-winner under Coach Fisher at Presbyterian College and finished her collegiate playing career at Wake Forest as a graduate transfer.
"We are so excited that Keyonna has decided to join us on staff at Campbell," said Fisher. "I was fortunate to have the opportunity to coach her at Presbyterian. She was a warrior on the court and enjoyed a tremendous career in the Big South. Keyonna is a wonderful person as well and she will always set a tremendous example for our student-athletes."
Allen was named to the 2014-15 All-Big South second team after leading Presbyterian with 10.0 points per game and 5.8 rebounds per game. She shot 47.5 percent (123-of-259) from the floor playing in 31 contests for the Blue Hose at an average of 23.1 minutes per game.
The Forest Park, Georgia native left PC with career averages of 8.0 points per game (738 total) and 5.3 rebounds per game (488 total), in addition to 62 steals and 61 blocks. She appeared in 92 contests with starts in 71 and an average of 21.0 minutes per game.
Allen played in 31 games at Wake Forest during the 2015-16 season. She made eight starts in the first nine games of the season and immediately moved into a key leadership role for the Demon Deacons. Allen scored a season-high eight points on four-straight possessions against Miami and pulled down a season-high seven rebounds in two different contests.
"I am extremely excited to have the opportunity to work under Coach Fisher," said Allen. "After playing for him my entire undergraduate career, I now have the chance to grow under him as a professional. He has a great understanding of the game, and I am very familiar with his coaching style and expectations. Campbell also has an amazing family atmosphere that I am thrilled to be joining!"
Allen had a four-year prep career at Forest Park High School and led her team for the Georgia 4-A Final Four as a Wendy's High School Heisman finalist. She graduated from Presbyterian with a bachelor's degree in psychology and a minor in coaching. Allen earned her Master's of Arts in liberal studies from Wake Forest.
"Keyonna represents the final piece of our women's basketball coaching staff here at Campbell," said Fisher. "I couldn't be happier with the group of coaches we have brought together. They are excellent teachers of the game, but most importantly, they are tremendous people that care about our student-athletes. Our players are truly blessed to be mentored by this group of coaches."
