CHARLOTTE, N.C. --- 10 of the 15 members on last season's Campbell women's basketball team were named on the 2015-16 Big South Conference Presidential Honor Roll, recently announced by the league.
To be named to the Presidential Honor Roll, student-athletes must maintain a grade point average of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) or better for the recently-completed academic year. The Camels' 66 percent participation on the honor roll stood among the best in the conference.
Jewell Yarborough was one of nine women's basketball honor roll members with a perfect 4.0 GPA. Brianna Cribb finished at the 3.5 GPA plateau while nine came in over the 3.3 mark including Big South all-academic team performer Sarah Smith.
Overall, 58.33 percent of Campbell's student-athletes participating in Big South Conference sponsored sports achieved Presidential Honor Roll status. The conference placed 1,903 out of 3,459 student-athletes (55.02 percent) on the honor roll marking the second consecutive year above the 50 percent plateau. Women's basketball occupied 98 of those spots.
