RANCHO MIRAGE, CALIF.  Campbell graduates Michelle Koh and Kaylin Yost were two of 92 players in a field of 347 to advance out of Stage I of the LPGA Qualifying Tournament Sunday at the Mission Hills Country Club, Dinah Shore, Arnold Palmer, and Gary Player Courses.

Yost, the 2012 and 2014 Big South Conference golfer of the year, shot 70-74-74-75 to finish at 5-over-par 293 and tie for 65th.

Koh, who represented her native Malaysia earlier this month in the Rio Olympics, tied for 78th at 6-over 294 (71-76-74-73)

In addition, 2015 Campbell graduate Lisbeth Brooks (72-74-74-77--297) earned Symetra Tour status for 2017 by making the 54-hole cut in the event.

The second stage of the LPGA Qualifying Tournament will be held Oct. 17-23 at the Plantation Golf and Country Club in Venice Florida.

A three-time all-conference performer at Campbell from 2008-12, Koh turned professional in March 2014 and played in the China LPGA Tour. She won the CTBC Shanghai Ladies Classic on the China LPGA in 2015.  Koh closed at 58th in Rio at 24-over for a total of 308 (79-71-76-82).

Brooks concluded her Campbell career in 2015 and is one of only nine players in the program's history to earn all-conference recognition four times.  The 2012 Big South Conference freshman of the year, Brooks is one of just four Camels to compete in NCAA Regional tournaments in each of her four years in Buies Creek.
